Walk in owning the room.
A tailored plus one for the wedding, gala or dinner you'd rather not attend alone. Prepared, at ease with everyone in the room, and entirely on your side.
A plus one, more tailored than your outfit.
Some evenings are easier with someone beside you. Not a stranger in a hired suit, and not a favour you'll owe a friend. A gentleman who has done his homework, knows who matters in the room, and makes the night about you.
Every evening is built around your world: your people, your goal for the night, and how you want to be seen when you walk in.
Prepared
We meet beforehand. By the day itself I know the names, the stories, the people to charm and the ones to politely avoid, so it looks like we've known each other for years.
Present
No agenda and no networking on your time. My only job that evening is your evening.
On the dance floor
I dance, properly and gladly. While others hold up the bar, you'll be the one everyone is watching.
How it works
-
Enquire
Tell me about the occasion, the date and the city. Everything you share stays private.
-
Coffee first
We meet in person. If the chemistry isn't right for either of us, we say so, and that's the end of it.
-
The briefing
A week or two before, we do a dress rehearsal on a video call: the guests, the dress code, our story, a few inside jokes and any family hazards to steer around. And on the day, two “strangers” walk in with the same rhythm.
-
Your evening
We don't just pitch up. We arrive together, ready, and the moment we walk in, the room takes note: look who just arrived. You, secure and confident, with an evening no one saw coming.
For the occasions that matter
Anywhere in South Africa, and further by arrangement.
Your gentleman
Years on stage and behind a microphone taught me one thing: every room can be read, and every room can be won.
Frederik van Staden
I'm a seasoned host and MC, trained in drama, fluent in English and Afrikaans. Equally at home with the grandmother, the CEO and the band. In my forties, with the maturity to fit in and the humour to make it fun.
The terms, plainly
Strictly platonic
This is a social service. Nothing sexual or romantic is offered or implied, at any point.
Agreed in writing
Boundaries, timings and expectations are set at our coffee and confirmed in a written agreement before the day.
The chemistry has to be real
A plus one only works if it looks natural. If the coffee doesn't feel right for both of us, we don't go ahead, and no one owes anyone an explanation.
Discreet and professional
No photographs, no social posts, no names. Your details stay private, and what happens at your event stays your story to tell.
Requests, not reservations
I keep only a few evenings open each month. Every request is read and considered personally, and not every request can be accepted.
Women, 30 and over
Bookings are for professional women aged 30+. Pricing is shared privately after our first conversation.
Request a coffee
Share a few details and I'll be in touch personally within two working days to arrange a time to meet.
Space is limited, so please enquire two to four weeks before your event. Shorter notice is possible only when the calendar allows.
